To nurture the formation of new scientists and enthusiasts in biological conservation, it is essential to engage young people in the topic and provide them with instruction on methodologies and actions they can undertake. In 2023, we had two high school students—Julian and Heitor—join LABIC through the Junior Scientific Initiation Program. In 2024, we successfully enrolled a third student, Rúbia, in the program as well.
